Country Pumpkins is a 40 place Day Nursery opened in 2023 following a renovation project undertaken by the nursery owners, Katie White & Mark Pearse.  

Katie has an extensive career in Early Years spanning over 20 years and is qualified to degree level.  She has led provision in both private and charity run settings and has also worked in Early Years settings in Australia and New Zealand.  Katie has taught Early Years courses up to level 5 in local further education colleges and holds a Diploma in Infant Massage and Yoga.

Mark works behind the scenes maintaining the nursery and often has projects on the go to develop the setting further.  He was instrumental in the renovation of the nursery, carrying out much of the work converting the building from an Old Social Club to the bright, airy, welcoming setting it is today.  Although Mark does not work directly with the children, he is a very popular face when he calls in and the children love to see what project he is working on next.
